Temporary Operating Engineer (Union) Monday- Friday 7:00 A.M.- 3:00 P.M.
The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Temporary Operating Engineer to work over the summer. They will be responsible for:
- assisting with properly operating all mechanical systems under the supervision of a journeyman; performing selected preventive and corrective maintenance duties as directed.
- monitoring and operating building automation system hardware, software and sensors and components.
- a minimum of three years' experience monitoring and operating building automation systems controlling a large and complex physical plant.
- Operator must have experience with computer-based energy management systems and DDC control.
Incumbent must be mobile around campus, be able to lift 50 pounds, crawl into confined spaces including manholes and utility tunnels as well as maneuver around small areas and be able to lift equipment and supplies.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
Preferably
- previous HVAC knowledge and experience
- a minimum of three years' experience monitoring and operating building automation systems controlling a large and complex physical plant.
