NIH funded postdoctoral fellowships are immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Altschuler in the Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology at the University of Pittsburgh. Pitt is one of the top universities in the US, currently ranked in the top ten universities in NIH grant funding and with a very stimulating environment for talented young researchers.

Altschuler lab studies early cell signaling events in cAMP-dependent cell proliferation using a multidisciplinary approach. We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to work on a new three-wave model of cAMP signaling utilizing FRET-based cAMP biosensors coupled with novel chemo-optogenetic tools and nanobody-based targeting strategies to understand the spatiotemporal control of cAMP signaling.

Applicants should have a PhD in the Biomedical Sciences with a strong background in molecular and cellular biology and hands-on experience in fluorescence microscopy and image processing.
