DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Description

Vitalant is hiring newly graduated and experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our high complexity testing laboratory. Regardless of your experience in this field, we have a position tailored to your skill level.

What to Expect Schedule: Nights 10:45PM - 7:15 AM (rotates e/o W/E)

Training: Days-6 weeks Monday - Friday

As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to:  * Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.  * Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.  * Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.  * Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success. Requirements  * Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent (must receive MLS certification within 6 months of eligibility)  or  * Bachelor's degree in approved Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc) and currently possess certification from an accredited agency as MT/MLS  * 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist educational requirements
