Exercise Physiologist Job Summary

Develops and administers lifestyle interventions correlating to assessed patient fitness levels. Provides patient education and coaching as well as staff and student functional testing training. Implements physical activity intervention protocols and protocol-appropriate behavior assessment training sessions.

Essential Functions

This position is for a Clinical Research Exercise Physiologist within the Division of Geriatric Medicine at The University of Pittsburgh. The Exercise Physiologist will work across several research projects under the direction of Dr. Daniel Forman. The purpose of this position is to coordinate the functional exercise testing for these studies while assisting in the recruitment of potential study participants. Additional duties will include but not limited to follow-up calls, retention, and group training sessions. Additional duties as assigned.

Physical Effort

Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
