The Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement (PAE) at the University of Pittsburgh is dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships with donors, alumni, and stakeholders, supporting the University's mission in education, research, and healthcare. In this role, you will serve as the integral part within PAE's Corporate and Foundation Relations department, reporting to the Executive Director of CFR.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts and sponsorships from corporate and foundation donors and prospects.
- Manage and refine an extensive corporate sponsorship program, securing opportunities for corporate engagement with Pitt Business students and Centers.
- Develop and execute strategies to maintain critical relationships with current and prospective donors, meeting short and long-term fundraising objectives.
- Collaborate with internal partners to identify and implement external funding opportunities aligned with Pitt Business's strategic priorities.
- Effectively communicate the school's vision, programs, and needs to potential corporate and foundation partners.
- Pursue philanthropic support from corporations and foundations to advance Pitt Business and the University.
- Demonstrate mastery of strategic funder priorities, strategic thinking, fundraising leadership, and superior communication skills to build a strong case for support and collaboration.

Job Summary
Identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards donations. Analyzes program effectiveness utilizing creative strategies in improvement determinations. Assists with fundraising plan development and in communication materials used to meet objectives and goals. Manages acknowledge systems. Supports priority projects and works with leadership.
Essential Functions
Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to form and nurture strong connections with current and prospective funders, with a strategic focus on expanding relationships across Pitt Business and Pitt.
Event Participation: Willingness to attend both on-campus and off-campus events, with occasional travel, evening, and weekend work.
Corporate and Foundation Partnerships: Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with corporations and foundations, leveraging their resources for student support, research funding, and faculty development.
Communication: Outstanding oral and written communication skills; adept at navigating complex organizations.
Organization and Multitasking: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, consistently meeting deadlines. Ability to build trust among internal and external constituents.
Technical Skills: Proficient in conducting and initiating virtual meetings using various platforms. Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Affinaquest (Salesforce) or other development databases. Experience with marketing/communication and intranet platforms is a bonus.
Adaptability and Learning: Quick learner with the ability to understand school programs and synthesize changes into funding opportunities.

- Duties are primarily sedentary.
May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
