System One Data Architect Lead Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Data Architect

Job Location: Pittsburgh PA

Job Duration: 6 Months contract to hire

Job Summary:

The main function is to set standards and coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. The typical database architect is involved in both improving the reliability and performance of a database along with planning and implementing future improvements to database architecture.

Job Responsibilities:

• Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications

• Write technical documentation of improvements made to system technologies

• Troubleshoot various database system errors

• Implement new database technologies and security solutions

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of database management software

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and manage ones time.

• Extensive experience with cloud database systems

• Experience with coding languages utilized in data processing and analytics, such as: Python, Java, C# Etc.

• Mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback

Education/Experience:

• Bachelors degree in in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required or equivalent work experience required

• 8+ years of relevant experience required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Technical Oversight & Planning: Translate strategic directives from stakeholders into actionable roadmaps for the team.

Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate with QA Engineering Leads, developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams.

Governance, Process & Reporting: Support definition of TDM processes, ensuring compliance with policies; support delivery of regular status updates to stakeholders & leadership.

Risk Management: Identify potential data-related risks (compliance, environment issues) and work with stakeholders to mitigate them.

Quality Assurance: Perform final reviews on test data provisioning and compliance before sign-off.

ETL - Integration (real time transformation) understanding of concepts

Audit understanding

Soft Skills:

Collaboration Skills

Working with technical and non-technical

Presentation skills
