Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients with bleeding disorders? Vitalant is seeking a compassionate and skilled provider to join our team at the Hemophilia Clinic of Western PA, where you'll play a vital role in patient care, education, and outreach! Your impact as an Advanced Practice Provider is vital!

Opportunity to work with both adult and pediatric patients Hands-on experience managing acute bleeding events, pre-procedure evaluations, and post-hospitalization care Serve as the point clinician during medication infusions and respond to adverse reactions Training provided to perform point-of-care musculoskeletal ultrasound Engage in community outreach at annual Amish Clinics and pediatric summer camp Contribute to the education of staff and families on congenital hemostatic and pro-thrombotic conditions Help develop operational guidelines for triaging patient calls

Requirements Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program required . Existing bleeding disorder knowledge preferred. PA Physician Assistant License or PA Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner required (Must have already passed boards). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required. One year of APP patient care experience preferred . Hematology experience preferred .

Must Have Skills/Abilities: Good clinical judgement. Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and lead others in application of acceptable standards of practice. Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary staff, other departments, and patients/families. Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment. Handle multiple/changing priorities. Effective oral, written, and digital communication skills.
