Administrative Coordinator Job Summary

Supports senior level roles in a wide variety of complex administrative and office functions as well as specialized technical support for academic or administrative departments.

Essential Functions

The Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking an Administrative Coordinator who will provide direct administrative support across the tripartite mission of academia, education, and research, providing high-level support to 7-10 junior and senior level faculty in the Section of Transplant Hepatology to include the Chief of Clinical Hepatology and the Medical Director of the Center for Liver Diseases. This position will have great financial impact to the division as they will play a critical role in the growth of research programs in the section and will directly interface with a large academic clinical practice to help coordinate and optimize the care of our patients and their inclusion in nearly 20 research studies. The Administrative Coordinator will have the lead staff role within a division grant production staff team to facilitate the timely and accurate completion and submission of all Federal grant applications and renewals. Further, financially they will be responsible for fellow supplemental pay. The employee will play a central role in faculty recruitment being the face of the division in arranging and scheduling virtual and/or in person interviews including: creating itineraries, arranging flights, hotel accommodations, transportation, meal reservations, and escorting the candidates around campus.

Physical Effort

Ability to carry up to 30 lbs. and physically able to walk up stairs, hills, and throughout buildings.
