Job Title: Avionics Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to test and maintain electrical systems, including troubleshooting, flight testing, and compass swings. The role involves performing system configurations, using test equipment for system checks, completing VSWR checks, fabricating custom sheet metal items, installing wires, and building wiring harnesses.
Responsibilities
Test and maintain electrical systems, including troubleshooting, flight testing, and compass swings.
Perform system configurations and use test equipment to conduct system checks.
Complete VSWR checks.
Fabricate custom sheet metal items.
Install wires and build wiring harnesses.
Essential Skills
Harness assembly construction
Avionics installation
Terminating connectors
Cable management
Interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience with avionics (non-military experience preferred)
Ability to terminate connectors and clamp harnesses
Proficiency in reading wiring schematics and fabricating wiring harnesses
Must provide own tools

Work Environment
You will work in a hangar/customization/completion center where you can wear jeans, work pants, and in the summer, decent shorts, as the direct employees have uniform shorts. Closed-toe shoes are required, but steel-toed shoes are not necessary.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Piney Flats, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $40.00/hr.
