The Supervisor – Vehicle Fleet Services is a professional with broad and substantive experience in the management of vehicle fleets. Assists in strategic, operational, and financial planning for the fleet, including the development and monitoring of key metrics. Achieves results by directing, overseeing, coordinating, and maintaining fleet activities, procedures, and resourcing. Works collaboratively across functional areas to ensure equipment and service supports the business. Directs day-to-day activities and overall development of administrative and technical employees.

Achieves results by planning and managing Vehicle Fleet Services activities, procedures, and resourcing.
Oversees and manages Vehicle Fleet Services projects with assessment of benefits, risks and costs aligned with the business strategy.
Directs the development and fulfillment of the annual vehicle buy plan with a focus upon business requirements, technical specifications, timeline management, and cost savings.
Assists in management of SAP fleet maintenance system, driving toward system optimization and automation.
Assists in fleet governance, standards, procedures, processes, and metrics.
Assists in management of Vehicle Fleet Services budget.
Develops and oversees execution of vehicle maintenance strategies that are focused upon safety, compliance, and availability.
Develops relationships with key service providers to support effective service levels, identify training needs and to support long-term sustainability.
Oversees and manages the performance of fleet administrative and technical staff, guiding work, monitoring progress, developing their skills, and holding them accountable to defined project milestones.
Oversee fueling for fleet including management of 3rd party fuel vendors and fuel cards.
Support storm restoration efforts by coordinating fueling and maintenance of assets deployed for storm response.
Champions and supports sustainability efforts by researching and deploying emerging technologies including EVs, charging, EPTOs, alternate fuels, and idle reduction technology.
Determine optimum useful life and total cost of ownership of assets utilizing a data driven approach.
Monitor asset utilization and work with business partners to right size fleet to meet operational demands.
Qualifications
Required Education, Skills & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree preferred
5+ years of related experience preferred
2+ years people management experience preferred
Experience using SAP inventory and/or fleet functionality preferred
Experience and ability to lead staff across projects towards a common vision
Knowledge of standard inventory and fleet business practices and professionalism
Ability to interact with all levels of employees to address difficult issues
Ability to manage high workloads and conflicting priorities
Ability to operate effectively and proactively with an employee centric mindset
Detailed-oriented and high work standards in support of seamless execution
