responsibilities:

The Corporate Controller will play a critical role in overseeing and managing all aspects of our financial operations. This role will ensure the integrity of financial reports, maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations, and support strategic business decisions. After completing a 90-day period in the office, this position will transition to a hybrid work schedule, allowing for both remote and in-office work flexibility. Only candidates with experience in the industrial machinery sector will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and industry-specific guidelines.

  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure proper financial reporting.

  • Manage the company's general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Lead annual audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax reporting requirements.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and provide monthly forecasts.

  • Monitor financial performance against budget and provide insights into variances.

  • Develop financial models to support business growth and decision-making.

  • Cash Flow & Asset Management

  • Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and efficient use of working capital.

  • Oversee asset management, including capital expenditure tracking and inventory control.

  • Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance on complex accounting issues.

  • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Strategic Support

  • Provide financial insight and guidance to senior management for strategic initiatives.

  • Participate in high-level business discussions regarding mergers, acquisitions, and other business ventures.

  • Collaborate with operations to analyze and streamline processes to improve profitability.

qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).

  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance roles, with at least 3 years in a corporate controller or similar position.

  • Required industry experience in commercial and industrial machinery is essential.

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.

  • Proficient in financial software systems (ERP systems experience preferred).

  • Proven leadership and team management experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment and manage multiple priorities.

Work Schedule

  • In-office for the first 90 days.

  • Hybrid work model after the 90-day period, offering flexibility to work remotely part of the week.

Benefits

Base salary range of $140-$150K

Only local PHOENIX candidates will be considered Office is located just outside of downtown in Central Phoenix
