Job Summary

The Senior Strategy Associate, Comcast Advertising Strategy Team will have the opportunity to work on a variety of strategic and high visibility projects that help shape Comcast Advertising’s enterprise-wide strategy. This contributor to the Comcast Advertising Strategy Team will work with members of the Strategy Team as well as functional and executive leaders across Comcast, Effectv and Freewheel, several of the business units within Comcast Cable, NBCUniversal, and Sky as well as work with leading industry organizations and vendor partners within the advertising and advertising technology industries. The scope of the role focuses on supporting the value proposition of the Comcast Advertising organization both internally at Comcast and externally to advertisers, agencies, and the broader industry. The Senior Strategy Associate will need to act as both an individual contributor as well as a member of team managing multiple projects and workstreams.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

Analysis and Presentations

  • Create project deliverables and develop strategic analyses to assess new growth, further expansion and investment opportunities, and evaluate business risks for the Strategy Leadership Team, the Executive Leadership Team and Business Unit Senior Leadership Teams

  • Identify business, financial and operational implications. Provide business insights based on rigorous, fact-based analyses of customer needs, competitive dynamics and industry trends

  • Provides the Strategy & Operations senior leadership teams with project updates, analyses, and work products/deliverables

  • Keeps current on important industry trends based on analyst research, industry news, conference attendance, etc.

  • Support cross-business unit strategy development and implementation

  • Assist senior team members in the research and development of white papers and industry reports.

  • Prepare and distribute regular reports and insights to identified stakeholders

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Project and Workstream Management

  • Support, manage, and maintain a portfolio of work across multiple projects/initiatives derived from ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and initiatives

  • Maintain detailed notes of ongoing conversations and ensure follow-ups as needed

    Core Skills:

  • Synthesize insight from multiple workstreams, data sources and team members to create effective, concise support material with storylines tailored to audience and objectives

  • Working with little/no oversight or supervision, capable of working in ambiguous environments

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to different stakeholders.

  • Contributes to team building (i.e., coordinating trainings, organizing events, helping with recruiting)

  • Consistently exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of advertising industry, financial industry research, and/or management consulting experience

  • MBA or post-graduate degree preferred; equivalent experience considered. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Advertising, Finance, or related field of study

  • Experience developing business cases, financial models and senior-executive level presentations

  • Previous experience with media sales, advertising, advertising technology and/or consulting experience preferred

  • Self-starter with ability to drive analytics independently and manage multiple projects / deadlines

  • Excellent diplomacy, relationship building and communications skills across all levels

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance

  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills

  • May be required to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary
