DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Position Overview: As the Controller for the Global Technology Portfolio at Chubb, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial dimensions of our extensive technology portfolio. This key leadership position involves intricate involvement in cost benefit analysis, progress management, and financial governance across the global technology landscape. Reporting directly to the CFO of Global Operations Transformation and Technology and to the Global Executive for Global Technology, you will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, alignment of CBAs with governance requirements, adherence to US GAAP and local financial regulations, as well as optimizing cost and time allocations, including ensuring savings as committed are realized.

Responsibilities: Partner closely with the Global Head of Technology and the Global Technology Compliance and Control leader to ensure an effective strategic and governance process is in place relating to the enterprises approximately $525M of annual investments and that these investments are supported by cost benefit analyses that are consistent, aligned with business needs and the enterprises strategy and are appropriately accounted for under US GAAP and key tax related requirements. Ensuring ongoing spend is aligned with original CBA and that benefits are fully realized is a key component of this role.

This role will be required to collaborate with technology and finance leads in Chubb's major segments across the globe and support ongoing reporting to the senior executive team including partnering to ensure that strategic plans and operating plans appropriately consider the impact of global tech and ops investments.

Cost Benefit Analysis:  * Conduct detailed cost benefit analyses for technology investments  * Provide strategic financial insights to guide decision-making within the technology domain.

Progress Management:  * Collaborate closely with Technology/Engineering teams to oversee progress checks against cost benefit analysis benchmarks.  * Ensure alignment between financial goals and technological roadmap/advancements.

Capitalization and Operating Expense:  * Manage and validate capitalization expenses and operating expenses related to the technology portfolio are appropriately included in CBAs.  * Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements as it relates to CBAs

Governance and Validation:  * Validate governance processes and financial impacts within the technology and engineering portfolio.  * Provide assurance on the accuracy and reliability of financial results.

GAAP & Global Financial Compliance:  * Ensure adherence to US GAAP standards in financial reporting and disclosures. Ensure local financial, transfer pricing, and taxation regulations compliance and adherence globally.

Allocation Oversight:  * Inspect and validate time and cost allocations internally to business groups utilizing technology.  * Optimize resource utilization and financial efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications:  * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.  * Extensive experience in financial management, particularly in technology or operations domains.  * In-depth understanding of US GAAP, local financial regulations, transfer pricing, and taxation related to technology spend.  * Proven ability to conduct comprehensive cost benefit analyses and align financial strategies with technological objectives.  * Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams.
