We are looking for customer-obsessed web developers who are experts in building UI for complex large-scale web applications. The ideal candidate has outstanding design, coding, and management skills, a passion to embrace challenging web-design issues, and a deep desire to create bold and breathtaking user experiences with courage.
As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with partner teams to deliver key Azure experiences. You will not only be responsible for envisioning, designing, coding, validating, and shipping large features, but will also be responsible with the ownership of the overall architecture of the product. You will work with the leadership team to help drive product decisions based on your knowledge of the architecture and your deep understanding of the customer scenarios and customer code architecture. Responsibilities
You will guide partnerships with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project manager, technical lead) to determine user requirements within and across teams.
You will guide teams and leads identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.
You will optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI).
You will guide team to drive multiple group's project plans, release plans, and work items in coordination with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project managers).
You will guide teams and act as an expert for Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and monitor other engineers across product lines, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
You will lead product development and scaling to customer requirements and apply best practices for meeting scaling needs and performance expectations while maintaining accountability for products that do not meet expectations.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP.NET, Node.js, REST APIs
OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages
OR equivalent industry experience.
3+ years of people management experience.
7+ years of professional experience in web development AND 3+ years of proficiency in one or more of these web technologies: HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP.NET, Node.js, REST APIs.
Experience with technologies like Single Page Applications, JSON, AJAX, Git, TypeScript, ES6/ECMAScript 2015, Promises
