THE POSITION

Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is seeking a patient and compassionate Aging Care Management Supervisor 3 to lead, direct, and oversee programs and units responsible for a variety of care management related activities, including in-home services and home modifications as well as Outreach, Housing, Senior Companion, and Home SHARE programs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Aging Care Management Supervisor 3, you will develop program policies and administer programs within established guidelines of the Department of Human Services (DHS), AAA, and PA Department of Aging, in addition to providing guidance and direction to bureau staff and supervisors to ensure the highest quality of standards. The ability to exercise strategic thinking is vital in the cost benefit analysis process as well as the development and implementation of the annual plan for programs. Excellent interpersonal skills are utilized to c ollaborate with supervisors, peers, staff, and providers for an agency-wide perspective, promoting AAA’s vision and values of a consumer centered, strength-based, and innovative culture in all decision-making. This professional acts with considerable independence in the administration and oversight of these programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Five years of experience in public or private social work, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; and a Bachelor's Degree; or

  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training including successful completion of 12 semester hours of college level courses in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences.
