DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL III - Day Services/Vocational

Mozaic (A Chapter of The Arc NY) is seeking a Direct Support Professional who is responsible for providing oversight and job coaching for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities and provides person directed services while ensuring the health and safety of the individuals served.

Pay Rate: $ 17.50 -$ 18.50 /hr.+ based on experience!

Location: 235 North Ave, Penn Yan

Direct Support Professional III Hours: Monday - Friday, hours will vary due to deadlines

Direct Support Professional III Duties:

The role ensures the accuracy of the Individual Protective Oversight Plan (IPOP) and other current safeguards while implementing activities outlined in the SAP/Habilitation Plan and, when applicable, the Life Plan. Acting as an advocate for individuals, the position provides person-directed services across various settings, including pre-vocational, employment, community, residential, or day habilitative services, as well as assistance in personal skill areas. Supporting individuals with community integration, the role upholds their right to privacy and confidentiality through appropriate written and verbal communication. Collaboration with others is essential to maintain the individual's health and well-being, and responsibilities also include medication management in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

Direct Support Professional III Qualifications:

To qualify for the position, candidates must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, applicants should have at least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or hold an associate degree in human services or a related field. A valid driver's license is also required, along with certification in medication administration.
