Description
The Direct Support Professional w/Med Support (DSP w/Med Support) is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of participants residing in The Arc Mid-Hudson residences. Their primary focus is to ensure that the medical needs of assigned residents are met, under direction of the Residential Coordinator (RC) and house nurse (RN). He/she is responsible for communicating all medical needs and information in a timely manner to the RC and RN.

A high school diploma or GED is required. Previous experience in the DD field preferred. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. An acceptable NYS driver's license is a must. Medication Administration certification must be obtained within first 90 days and be continually maintained. Knowledge of medical terminology medical background a plus.
HOURS: 40 hours weekly – Monday thru Friday, 8a-4p
Starting Salary: $22.24 - $24.47 per hour plus additional shift differentials as applicable
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in the DD field preferred.
Must have good verbal and written communication and organizational skills and proficient computer skills.
Medication Administration certification must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment and be continually maintained.
Acceptable NYS Driver’s license.
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical background a plus.
