General Electric Senior Process Engineer in Parsippany, New Jersey
As a Senior Process Engineer specializing in Electrochemical Machining (ECM), you will be the subject matter expert responsible for developing, optimizing, and overseeing ECM processes. You will leverage your expertise in chemical engineering, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Process Safety Management (PSM), and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to drive innovation and ensure operational excellence. Are you excited at the opportunity to electrify and decarbonize the world?What impact you’ll makeAs a member of the Engineering team, you will be an active contributor to the Electrochemical Machining process.What you’ll do• Lead the design, development, and optimization of electrochemical machining processes, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality.• Conduct comprehensive Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and implement Process Safety Management (PSM) protocols to maintain a safe operational environment.• Develop and interpret Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to support process development and troubleshooting.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ECM processes into existing manufacturing operations.• Identify and evaluate external and commercial opportunities to enhance process capabilities and performance.• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.• Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in electrochemical machining and related fields.• Travel between sites is required when necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college and at least 8 years’ manufacturing or relevant experience.• Experience with electrochemical machining processes is desirable but not necessary.• Proven knowledge and application of PHA, PSM, and P&IDs.• Experience in the chemical or oil & gas industry is highly desirable.• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical analysis methodologies.• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.Eligibility Requirement:• This is an onsite position and requires travel between the Metem (GE Vernova) sites (Parsippany, NJ and Allentown, PA) on a frequent basis. We are open to main base being either location. Depending on base site you will spend majority of time at that site and approximately 20% at other site. Must be willing to travel between sites. This amount could vary depending on needs.• This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government export restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Persons (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents and protected individuals (e.g., certain refugees and asylees)).
