This position will report to our Associate Director, Sales and Operations Planning, in Supply Chain.

Overview:

As a Demand Planner, this associate must be organized and responsible, with strong critical thinking capabilities and excellent inter-personal skills. The position requires someone with existing knowledge of Supply Chain processes with mathematical/statistical insights. The candidate is expected to analyze demand patterns and business trends, with consideration of external factors. Communication is a key component of this role, as cross functional stakeholders rely on our team to provide accurate information and actionable insights.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, and validate various sets of forecast data to improve forecast accuracy.

  • Propose and implement solutions to improve existing processes and practices.

  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, demand, inventory, and business strategies.

  • Conduct monthly forecast meetings with our sales organization to review promotions, item launches, and changes to current business.

  • Monitor item creations, launches, discontinuations, and changes.

  • Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

  • Demonstrate leadership in engaging and working with internal and external resources.

  • Maintenance of data within SAP IBP.

  • Inputs and trends defined within role contribute to the broader Sales and Operations Planning process.

  • Identify continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, with preferably a Supply Chain or Operations-related field.

  • Three years’ experience in Supply Chain Planning preferred.

  • Experience in the CPG (consumer-packaged goods) industry or in an inventory based business is required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications, with advanced Excel skills.

  • Experience with SAP or MRP/ERP system is preferred.

  • Keen attention to detail required.

  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge. Critical thinking skills are crucial.

  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.

  • Understanding of supply chain process and practices with an understanding of key organizational stakeholders.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Big picture thinking and vision. Flexibility to think and step outside the box.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize their workload.

  • Excellent follow-up skills.

  • Responsibility to handle sensitive information.

  • Approachable demeanor. A true team player.

    Worksite:

  • The PIM Brands Global Headquarters in Park Ridge, New Jersey

  • The schedule is on-site: Monday through Thursday, and work from home/remotely on Fridays
