Lockheed Martin General Maintenance Person (Cranes) in Palmdale, California
Description: PERFORMS SUCH TYPICAL DISTINGUISHING DUTIES AS: Determines type and kind of materials needed and performs general plant maintenance duties such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repair, according to instructions, specifications, and trade practices; performs such typical maintenance and shop work as making routine functional and performance inspections and correct, repairs, or paints as required; supports senior crane technician during the inspection, maintenance and repair of overhead cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, lifting devices, human propelled forklift and lift tables
PERFORMS RELATED DUTIES AS: Sets up and operates machine tools such as grinders, drill presses, and power saws to make new parts or rework parts for repair as required, including carpentry-related equipment to cut lumber to size for facilities repair jobs. Cleans, drains, degreases, lubricates. Changes filters, belts, pulleys. Assist other crafts as required. Operates pipe threader, drain snake, and emergency generators and pumps as required. May mix, blend, and match various colors of paint for touch-up repairs. Works at various heights. Operates and works from moving and/or telescoping boom vehicles and equipment as required. Cleans and stores equipment, tools, safety devices, protective clothing, etc. Prepares working and recording sketches as required, notes material needed. Ability to obtain and maintain Company licenses, certifications, and training as required for assigned tasks or by law.
Must have ability to work at heights.
Must have ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Two(2) or more years combined experience in maintenance, repair and/or inspection of mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical machinery and equipment.
Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
One(1) or more years experience servicing self-propelled or human-propelled forklifts and lifting table; or
One(1) or more years of experience inspecting, maintaining or installing overhead cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, lifting devices and/or chain driven pully systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work at heights.
Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment.
Work collaboratively with others and take direction from senior technicians.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
The base range for this position in California is $25.21 - $43.57.
