Senior Housekeeper - Environmental Services
St. John’s Regional Medical Center
St. John’s Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Housekeeper to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities
Disinfection and sterilization of patient rooms, operating rooms, and other hospital areas.
Cleaning and maintaining restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
Emptying trash and biohazard waste.
Replenishing supplies and linens.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and infection control protocols.
Train and mentor new team members on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
Assist with developing and implementing new cleaning protocols to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and equipment maintenance.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow.
Qualifications
5 years acute healthcare experience as an EVS Tech.
Ability to converse/comprehend/communicate verbally in English.
Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members, patients and visitors.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of issues and materials designed as such.
Ability to work as needed at both campuses.
Ability to participate in staff development training.
Ability to participate in quality control program
This position is represented by SEIU UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Pay Range
$23.00 - $26.30 /hour
