Senior Housekeeper - Environmental Services

St. John’s Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Housekeeper to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Disinfection and sterilization of patient rooms, operating rooms, and other hospital areas.

• Cleaning and maintaining restrooms, hallways, and common areas.

• Emptying trash and biohazard waste.

• Replenishing supplies and linens.

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and infection control protocols.

• Train and mentor new team members on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.

• Assist with developing and implementing new cleaning protocols to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and equipment maintenance.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• 5 years acute healthcare experience as an EVS Tech.

• Ability to converse/comprehend/communicate verbally in English.

• Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members, patients and visitors.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of issues and materials designed as such.

• Ability to work as needed at both campuses.

• Ability to participate in staff development training.

• Ability to participate in quality control program

This position is represented by SEIU UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Pay Range

$23.00 - $26.30 /hour
