Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Safety & Environmental Engineering.

  • Experience: 5-8 years in construction safety management.

  • Certifications: CSP, SMS, CHST, OSHT, CSST.

  • Preferred: OSHA Outreach Trainer.

  • Language Skills: Bilingual skills are a plus.

  • Personal Attributes: Deadline-driven, self-motivated, detail-oriented.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and follow-through capability.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in all standard and emerging technologies and applications.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate Extensively: Work closely with the Safety Director, Project Management, and General Supervisors.

  • Safety Recognition Program: Develop, promote, and manage the Safety Recognition Program.

  • Policy Compliance: Review and oversee all Safety Policies and Procedures.

  • Safety Plans: Assist project teams in creating safety plans for all projects and facilities.

  • Compliance Audits: Monitor and prepare safety compliance audits.

  • Field Audits: Conduct weekly field audits on all projects and facilities.

  • Vendor Compliance: Oversee vendor and trade partner project compliance.

  • Document Audits: Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with field document requirements.

  • Program Summary: Present a summary of the Safety program, with metrics, at the Monthly Status Meeting.

  • Incident Reporting: Investigate, document, and report all accidents and incidents, including third-party claims.

  • Pre-Construction Meetings: Participate in pre-construction/site orientation kick-off meetings.

  • Training Development: Develop, schedule, conduct, and maintain all training requirements.

  • Training Records: Maintain all Safety Training Records and Certifications.

  • Tool Box Talks: Distribute and monitor Tool Box Talks and Weekly Safety Checklists.

  • Workers’ Compensation: Track and investigate all Workers’ Compensation claims.
