TITLE: Data ScientistLOCATION: Overland, KS

JOB SUMMARY:Develop, analyze, and test new fraud strategies, partnering with business unit subject matter experts, as well as operations partners, to create new approaches and improve risk mitigation performance. Generate complex quantitative analysis necessary for data-driven business recommendations. Monitor and evaluate performance of anti-fraud strategies and plan to evaluate business impacts while defining opportunities to optimize. Utilize fraud predictive analytics techniques, including identifying trends and patterns in data and apply relevant analytical and statistical methods to evaluate and solve problems. Utilize SAS/R/Python programming, data visualization tools, SQL, Toad, and Oracle PL/SQL. Design and implement tests to determine strategy effectiveness and analyze results to develop recommendations on future strategy. Conduct root cause analysis to identify gaps in current fraud management processes and perform complex multivariate analysis to create new and enhance existing controls. Communicate analysis and complex concepts to non-subject matter experts. Present to stakeholders the business value of complicated analysis, including the use of presentations to illustrate data.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Information Systems, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field; 1 year of experience utilizing T-SQL to extract data from repositories to perform insights and reporting; developing anti-fraud strategies to identify and mitigate fraud; developing statistical models using data science principles including linear regression or random forest; using historical statistical data to identify data elements to predict potential fraud vulnerabilities; and performing data analytics using SQL and Python and performing reporting using Tableau or MicroStrategy to make informed business decisions and present analytical findings.
