JOB REQUIREMENTS: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Keeps aware of all projects that will be out for bidding by reviewing Dodge reports, Builders\' Exchange reports, etc. Reviews specification information and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Prepares bids for projects, alone or with the help of estimators or other project managers, by analyzing blueprints and spec sheets to determine material and labor requirements. Attend pre-bid walk- throughs and contractor meetings. Consults with owners, contractors, vendors, foreman/superintendents, and project managers to develop and communicate estimates. Discusses changes and adjustments to cost estimates with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors. Make follow-up calls to clients/contractors to develop and maintain good business relationships. Communicate project details/strategy to Project Managers and jobsite foremen. Continuously works in a safe manner to ensure safety of self and others.
