The Patient Representative (ER Reg) reports to the PFS Supervisor and is responsible for performing billing, collecting, and accounts receivable transaction processing and posting charges. This position will also cover for hospital patient registrations, switchboard functions, and cashier duties. This is a position that needs someone who likes to work in a fast- paced environment who is comfortable with multi-tasking. Answering the main switchboard is part of the day-to-day job.

This is a 0.4 position. 16 hours per week/32 hours in a 2 week pay period. The position has rotating days/weeks. See below

Shift: One Week: Thursday and Friday 7am-3:30pm following week is Saturday and Sunday 7am-3:30pm. The rotation starts over on week 3, Thursday and Friday 7am-3:30pm and week 4, Saturday and Sunday 7am-3:30pm.

Wages: starting wage range is $17.01 Also, shift differential pay on weekends.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Must have experience with or course work in medical terminology or be willing to obtain within one year in the position. Must have one to three years of experience in the health care setting. Computer experience and knowledge of medical billing is preferred. Must be able to interact well with a variety of customers.
