KBR is seeking an innovative, creative, and highly motivated Software Engineer to join us in supporting our Air force, Navy and Marine customers.

The focus for this position will be on the development, testing, maintenance and documentation of secure web-based applications. The successful candidate will; be able to accurately complete complex projects with little guidance; be committed to quality over quantity approach with a collaborative team mentality; apply expertise to develop technical solutions to complex problems; ensure compliance with current cybersecurity initiatives throughout application lifecycle; actively engage in a variety of software development and maintenance activities for the multiple projects working in a team environment; provide guidance as needed to junior level developers to promote depth of knowledge within the team; apply documented project processes and tools to ensure that quality standards for development and configuration management are applied to the project's software development effort.

Required Education/Certifications

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 8 years of experience. Will consider 16+ years’ experience acquired knowledge through practical experience and formal education in lieu of degree.

  • Must possess or obtain CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification within six months of hire date.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to work remotely

  • Proficiency using C++, C#, or similar languages

  • Experience with .NET, Oracle SQL development, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX and JSON

  • Experience with Bootstrap UI and internal use API's

  • Experience with Agile Development methodologies including use of version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue/problem tracking systems (e.g., Azure DevOps)

  • The Software Engineer must have the ability to work closely with other engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills are desired, as the Software Developer will be in frequent contact with both a project technical lead, and be taking direction from various government leads.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with support ticket tracking systems, revision control and application security software such as Subversion, Azure, GIT and Fortify is highly desired.

  • Experience with Cold Fusion is a plus.

  • Experience with DoD Common Access Card (CaC) and PKI authentication

  • Certified Software Security Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) Certification or equivalent is preferred

  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization process

  • Experience using vulnerability management tools or running Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance, and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)

  • Extensive experience utilizing Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.

  • Familiar with SharePoint

  • Current Secret security clearance is Preferred

    Additional Notes

  • Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary Range (Orange Park, FL): 112,400.00 - 168,500.00 USD Annual
