Summary:

Prepares pre-painted towing equipment for final paint coat.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Examines part for acceptability of finish.

Removes select parts prior to final paint.

Sands and smooths surface of all defects in paint.

Washes all dirt and oil off the unit and dries it.

Tapes areas on unit for paint.

Reinstalls parts on unit after paint.

Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this Jo , the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes (acetone and paint undercoat) or airborne particles (bondo and aluminum dust) and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals (acetone). The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
