Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist (Temp-to-Hire, 100% Remote)

Location: Remote (Candidates preferred in Oklahoma or Texas)

Pay: $21-$25/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist with a strong background in hospital billing and Epic software. The ideal candidate must have Medicare billing experience and Medicaid experience is preferred. This role focuses on denials management, accounts receivable, and revenue cycle processes to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.

Responsibilities:

• Process and submit hospital claims accurately using Epic software

• Manage Medicare and Medicaid claims, ensuring compliance with regulations

• Identify and resolve denials through appeals and follow-ups

• Work accounts receivable to maximize revenue and reduce outstanding balances

• Collaborate with payers and internal teams to resolve billing issues

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations and payer requirements

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Hospital billing experience is required

• Epic software experience is a must

• Medicare experience required; Medicaid experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of denials management and revenue cycle processes

• Proficiency in medical billing, coding, and insurance claims processing

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to work independently in a 100% remote environment
