BDUK is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 1,800 people in the UK. BDUK is responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK Defence customers including E-7 AEW&C, P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, C4ISTAR Services, Through Life Support for the Chinook and Apache Fleets, Logistic Information Services and Training Services.

We are looking for a Maintenance Operations specialist to work within our Whole Force Approach environment, alongside and embedded with our RAF customer.

  • Leading in delivery of aircraft maintenance to the customer, on time, to budget with first time quality standards.

  • Regular engagement with BDUK Supply Chain, Production Service Engineers, Commercial and Programme in the delivery of aircraft and/or component maintenance.

  • Work alongside the customer and other BDUK Operations staff for the prioritisation of maintenance output and allocation of staff within a BDUK/RAF Whole Force construct.

  • Ownership of the aircraft induction end to end process.

  • Monitoring of contracted KPI performance.

  • Site 6S and FOD focal.

  • Actively encourage, lead and participate in Continual Improvement workshops, to identify and address inefficiencies.

Preferred Qualifications and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of aircraft maintenance operations, in a UK Defence or commercial context.

  • A good communicator, technical and non-technical, with the ability to effectively engage across multiple Functions and levels, both internally and with the customer.

UK Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain) is higher levels of Security Clearance may be desirable
