Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join our team in Odessa, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, managing fixed assets and accruals, and providing leadership in full-cycle accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the overall accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Manage fixed assets and accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Lead full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable and receivable, annual budget preparation, and auditing.
• Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Utilize accounting software systems, preferably NetSuite, to streamline and automate financial management.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Demonstrated experience in Accounting Functions
• Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in preparing and managing Annual Budgets
• Knowledge of Auditing practices and principles
• Familiarity with NetSuite software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Strong leadership and management skills.
