Senior HR Generalistto join our TERI team!
The Senior HR Generalist provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. They administer the day-to-day benefit operations of the human resources department. The SHRG also provides support in all functions and aspects of human resources including, but not limited to fringe benefits, leaves of absences, workers compensation, recruitment on-boarding and off-boarding.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
BENEFIT ADMINISTRATION:
- Manages TERIs comprehensive benefit plan, including all statutory and non-statutory benefits (i.e. medical, dental, vision, COBRA, life insurance, 403(b), wellness and the employee assistance program.
- Ensures the Federal and State statues are adhered to and reporting requirements are met such as; Affordable Care Act, OSHA and plan audits.
- Handles benefit inquiries to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolutions.
- Maintains contact with employees and insurance brokers to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all employees.
- Review and reconcile monthly benefit invoices and audits to validate accuracy.
- Assists the HR Director during benefit plan renewals and benefit guide updates.
- Lead annual Open Enrollment events and wellness plan annual bio-screenings.
- Conducts weekly benefit orientation presentations at the New Hire Orientation training and ensure slide presentation reflects current data and information.
LEAVE OF ABSENCES:
- Administer and track mandated and non-mandated employee leaves of absences.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and policies. Process and maintain leave of absences paperwork and secure all supporting documentation.
MANDATED REPORTING:
- Ensure reporting requirements are met, and reports are delivered timely. Reports include, but are not limited to, Look-Back Period (ACA) Report, 403b annual audits.
- Assists the HR Director with EEOC, Non-Discrimination Testing, CA Pay Data reports and other internal and external report requirement.
- Processes and submits reports and documents that are due to payroll on a bi-weekly basis for Action Forms, LOA tracking, and any relevant benefits changes.
WORKERS COMPENSATION
- Safety Committee - attend the quarterly safety meetings and provide injury and incident information and stats to the committee director, to investigate injuries.
- Meet with injured workers and secure documents to ensure timely reporting to the insurance company. Provide timely follow-up with injured workers to ensure they attend scheduled appointments and comply with doctors instructions.
- Monitor claims with insurance company, Managers and the injured employees.
- Attend quarterly claim review meetings to assist in monitoring and closing claims.
OPERATIONS
Assist the HR Director with overseeing day-to-day operational flow of the Human Resources Department and managing department needs.
Assist the Director with low-level performance and employee relation matters.
