General Purpose:
Responsible for development, growth, and management of existing and target trailer sales, leasing, and repair customers while periodically traveling to said customers in an assigned territory including North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, eastern Tennessee, and Florida. Work with the management team and inside personnel to grow and develop new opportunities for the company while ensuring proper business practices and collective goals are attained.
This role is remote but will be traveling throughout the territory 50%-75% of the time. The ideal candidate will live within the territory of SC, NC, AL, GA, TN or FL (FL or GA highly preferred).
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Sell and lease various types of tank trailers including liquid, chemical, and dry bulk
Sell new and used yard spotter trucks
Develop new sales opportunities through cold calling
Work with manufacturers and customers on needs and new product opportunities
Perform trailer evaluations on new and used equipment
Develop, recommend, and help with new sales strategies and marketing
Promote repair and service capabilities of the company and satellite locations
Travel to accounts evaluating fleet and customer needs
Communicate with repair manager and/or satellite location manager to ensure customer’s repair/shop jobs are on time and budget
Communicate with parts manager and outside parts personnel about new customer opportunities from trailer sales/leasing
Work with sales management team on manufacturer lead times and pricing
Attend annual trade shows to stay on top of new products and industry trends
Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment

Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 3 years of sales experience working in a related field
Preferred experience – 5 years of sales experience working in a related field
Certification and/or license – Class E driver’s license required
Mechanical knowledge a must.
