Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Lead Network Engineer. This role is instrumental in ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of our network services. The successful candidate will manage all Data Center network maintenance operations and work closely with various departments to ensure timely project completion and delivery of excellent network services.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the security, performance, and reliability of network infrastructure

• Managing all Data Center network maintenance operations

• Collaborating with decision makers in various departments to ensure timely project completion

• Conducting ongoing preventative maintenance, assessments, and proactive monitoring of the network infrastructure

• Providing expert technical guidance and support in line with the direction and leadership of the Manager of Network Services.

• Leading assigned network staff and ensuring they meet customer service excellence standards

• Making recommendations for annual budget, meeting financial budget goals, and tracking purchases to budget

• Prioritizing tasks of network team and ensuring projects are completed within the required time frames

• Monitoring projects and tasks and keeping management informed of status

• Benchmarking, analyzing, reporting on, and making recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT network team

• Continually monitoring the network for opportunities to improve performance, reduce risk, and minimize downtime

• Ensuring staff has the knowledge, tools, and skills necessary to perform their job requirements

Skills:

• Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, Cisco Technologies, and Configuration Management

• Experience with Deployments, Cisco ISE, and Switches

• Advanced troubleshooting skills in a complex network environment

• Broad knowledge of LAN, WAN, voice, and video technologies

• Experience with cloud technologies for IaaS, PaaS for internal private and external public consumption

• Expert knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP

• Advanced Cisco routing and switching experience

• Advanced Cisco Data Center switching (Nexus, ACI) experience preferred

• Advanced Cisco wireless experience preferred

• Advanced Cisco ISE experience preferred

• Firewall experience with either Cisco or Palo Alto required

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Network Architect or in a similar role.

• Proficient in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).

• Firsthand experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and Cisco Technologies.

• Expertise in Configuration Management.

• Demonstrated experience in Deployments.

• Familiarity with Cisco ISE.

• Proficient in working with Switches.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
