Role Summary

The Product Data Analyst role aims to improve effectiveness, scale, and optimize our product management organization using technology to support our Sales, Go-to-market, and product efforts. In this role, you will build and maintain technical resources, architect data streams across all key programs via data connectors and databases, and design technical solutions to support initiatives such as our Customer Advisory Board, Splunk Ideas, Product Roadmaps, Compliance and Product Launhes. You will have the opportunity to engage with stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, IT, and Product Management to provide insights and key data to drive operational efficiency. This role is remote within the locations specified in the U.S. with the opportunity to go a nearby office if needed.

What you’ll get to do

  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Product Compliance, Splunk Product Life Cycle, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Customers to build/maintain technical solutions!

  • Architect new data connectors. Maintain, and optimize existing data connectors, databases, and objects, ensuring simple, robust, and scalable solutions to track, manage, and measure operations.

  • Define and prioritize technical requirements, user stories, and features based on business needs and customer feedback.

  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of new technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance product capabilities and technical infrastructure.

  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization initiatives across technical processes, workflows, and systems to empower and enable program scaling!

  • Maintain technical standards and style uniformity on all program assets through code reviews, final sign-offs, and technical documentation

  • Generate ideas and create an executable plan to solve problems. Creative mindset and passion for UI/UX and interface design.

Must-have Qualifications

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

  • Technical Skills such as Splunk SPL, Java, JavaScript, JSON, Python, XML, APIs, Tableau, SQL

  • Ability to convey ideas effectively, listen intently, write strong product requirements, and drive consensus across functions and teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to work independently and collaborate synchronously and asynchronously across disparate time zones.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity – given an open-ended task, you can seek out and read documentation and deliver great work with minimal direction. Strong project execution skills, attention to detail, and quality

  • Nice to have: Experience with Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence Programs (Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, Knowledge Representation, etc)

Note:

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $133,600.00 - 183,700.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $120,240.00 - 165,330.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $106,880.00 - 146,960.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
