Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in North Augusta, South Carolina. This role involves meticulous data entry, purchasing activities, and handling payroll. The successful candidate will be a key player in the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the purchasing process, including placing orders and sending out purchase orders

• Conducting high-volume data entry to ensure all information is accurately recorded and updated

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various tasks, including tracking purchasing materials and maintaining financial records

• Handling automated payroll every other week, including data entry and managing time sheets

• Resolving any inquiries or discrepancies related to credit applications and records

• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking necessary actions to collect overdue payments

• Maintaining customer credit records, ensuring they are up to date and accurate. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Must have experience in high-volume data entry

• Experience with data entry - numeric is essential

• Must possess skills in automated payroll

• Prior experience in purchasing activities is required

• Experience with purchasing materials is essential

• Accounting clerk experience is highly desirable

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary

• Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively

• Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Excellent problem-solving skills are necessary

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices is required

• Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
