U.S. Beverage, Inc. Electrical Maintenance Technician in Newnan, Georgia

Duties - Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience

  • Diagnose, repair, maintain and overhaul production machinery and electrical equipment.
  • Working knowledge of pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, and PLC controlled equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability trouble shoot and maintain electrical wiring, AC and DC circuits, variable drives and motors, etc.
  • Interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, diagrams and programming logic.
  • Maintain and install logic panels, timers, counters, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
  • Perform routine electrical, mechanical, welding or machining maintenance activities on equipment including lubrication, inspection, and replacement parts, and maintaining stock levels of spare parts and lubricants used.
  • Lead and perform preventive maintenance for all plant equipment, machinery and ensure stock levels of spare parts and consumables necessary to support production.
  • Insure and adhere to safe work practices including but not limited to lockout/tag out, confined space, OSHA rules and regulations.
  • 5 plus years of electrical and mechanical repair experience in a production environment.
  • Must have experience with installing and working on installations with single phase and 3-phase 120/220/440 power.
  • Experience in basic facilities maintenance
  • Participate in special projects and perform other related duties and task as required.

Education / Experience / Physical Requirements

  • Basic knowledge in mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
  • Previous experience in food or beverage industry preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of welding techniques including Stick, MIG and TIG
  • Forklift operating experience along with inventory and receiving experience is a plus
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet
  • High School Education and advanced technical training a plus
  • Demonstrated solid trouble shooting, problem solving and mathematical skills
  • Good organizational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility in managing duties in a face paced work environment
  • Strong communications skills written and verbal
  • Ability to direct and lead others
  • Required to stand, bend, heavy lifting, climb ladders and stairs, work on high lifts and fork lifts.
  • Understanding of health and safety as it pertains to maintenance functions.
