Posting Summary | The School of Health Professions (SHP), Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is inviting applications for a full-time Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (AFWC) for the Occupational Therapy Doctoral (OTD) Program. This faculty position is at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level. SHP is one of eight schools that are part of Rutgers Health (RH) the premier health sciences institution in New Jersey. The SHP Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences is a multidisciplinary department that houses the Rutgers Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Program and in addition has dedicated research faculty. Rutgers is an internationally ranked and recognized University that is a member of the prestigious AAU and the Big Ten conference. Through this faculty appointment, the school wishes to build on that strong history by increasing its capacity for excellence in clinical practice, teaching and research. The AFWC will provide innovative and responsible leadership for all aspects of the design and coordination of fieldwork rotations for this 8-semester, entry-level OT doctorate program, teaching fieldwork-relevant content as well as practice related content. They will oversee the administrative fieldwork assistant (AFWA) in collaboration with the Program Director and collaborate with the other clinical coordinators in the department. Reporting to the Program Director, the AFWC will have the exciting opportunity to initiate innovative fieldwork experiences, including the development of pro bono clinics and emerging practice sites for Level I and II settings. They will ensure accreditation standards related to clinical experiences are met. The ideal candidate will also have a demonstrated commitment to ethnoracial and social diversity. This is a 12-month appointment. |

Ability to interact appropriately with colleagues for different purposes in different contexts. |
