Implementing projects aimed at reducing operating expenses, increasing revenues, and improving customer service.Essential FunctionsResponsible for preparing and monitoring short-term and long-range plans related to expansion procedures, staffing, equipment, vehicles, and products within the operationsEnsure compliance with safety and legal standards, participate in special staff support projects, and prepare management information systems to aid in controlling and developing operational goalsAssisting in studies to implement innovative engineering concepts into operations, benefiting both FedEx and its customersMaintains communication between operations and corporate departments, providing technical expertise on facility requests such as lease terminations, new locations, five-year planning, equipment justification, layout, vehicle planning, and cost justificationMonitor productivity, service, and cost performance in all areas of operations and assist personnel in implementing necessary changesProvide technical training to personnel in workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training sessions in various areas, including operations, manning, management information systems, contingency planning, productivity, cost-effectiveness, and manpower schedulingPerform other duties as assignedMinimum Education Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related discipline.
