Job Description

Summary

The Technical Writer will be responsible for collaborating with Production and Engineering to create detailed work instructions by observing assemblers, photographing assembly steps, and asking questions to capture the details and understand product requirements.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Willingness to ask questions and obtain detailed instructions on particularities of assembly builds

  • Ensure quality documentation meets applicable customer, regulatory, and company requirements

  • Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards

  • Ability to understand manufacturing specifications, requirements, procedures, and departmental processes

  • Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience, turning insights into language for user success

  • Manage multiple commitments and deadlines without losing sight of details

  • Actively express ideas for changes and improvements on assembly builds

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree and 4-years’ experience, Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in English, Journalism, Communications, or relevant field

  • Two or more years of experience as an effective technical writer

  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter

  • Superb written communication skills in English

  • Excellent verbal English skills

  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office package (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Attention to detail

  • Some history of managing projects and/or people

  • Ability to manage a complex schedule and handle multiple commitments

Physical Demands

  • Time will be split between standing in the production areas and in an office environment with constant sitting

Salary Range:

$77,000.00-$102,600.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
