Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant in the pharmaceutical industry, based in New York, New York. In this role, you will be tasked with managing complex aspects of the monthly closing process, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and providing key insights through regular flux analysis. You will also collaborate with various departments and assist in external financial audits.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the intricate elements of the monthly closing process.
• Undertake balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Conduct regular flux analysis to provide valuable insights to the team and stakeholders.
• Work closely with Strategic Finance to derive insights from actual results and their impact on future outcomes.
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration with other departments.
• Provide assistance during external financial audits by providing accurate PBC requests and supporting schedules in a timely manner.
• Manage the company's third-party payments.
• Respond to ad hoc financial requests and establish processes to support them.
• Support technical accounting requests such as stock compensation, ASC 842, and taxes as required. Requirements • Proven experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
• Previous experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar
• Proficiency in using NetSuite software for accounting tasks
• Ability to perform Month End Close tasks efficiently and accurately
• Expertise in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
• Knowledge and application of ASC 606 and ASC 842 accounting standards
• Skills in calculating and recording Accruals
• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• CPA certification is preferred.
