Job Description

The BioMedical Engineering and Imaging Institute (BMEII) at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to optimize and apply novel MRI techniques in neuroimaging with applications to Alzheimer’s disease and study of the gut-brain axis. The position will be mentored by Dr. Alan Seifert and Dr. Priti Balchandani.

Qualifications

The postdoctoral position at BMEII is a full-time research position. Initial appointment will be for one year with renewable appointments for subsequent years. Responsibilities

Position responsibilities include independent research, contributions to publications and grants, and leadership roles within the Institute. Opportunities for teaching also exist. The candidate will primarily work on quantification of multiparametric in-vivo and ex-vivo MRI and investigate the mechanisms of neurological post-actue sequelae of SARS CoV2. The candidate will refine and execute high-resolution in- and ex- vivo 7T anatomical and multiparametric quantitative MRI protocols, perform data analyses on in-vivo and ex-vivo MRI, clinical, neuropsychiatric, and neuropathology data, and interpret and publish these results.

Compensation Statement

Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $72500 - $80000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
