Job Description

It’s an exciting time to be part of IFF’s Sample Lab team! In this position, you will directly support the Sample Lab by filling sample orders and assisting with lab workload when assigned by the supervisor. This position reports to the Sample Lab Supervisor.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate attention to detail, customer focus, excellent communication and problem solving skills. Also the ability to adapt to changing tasks and instructions based on business demands throughout the day in order to satisfy internal and external customers.

You will spend your time...

  • Sample Shipping may take on a large portion of this position

  • Compounding essential oils and prepare finished sample

  • Filling raw material samples as per paperwork and process in the inventory system.

  • Processing sample request, print labels for sample bottles.

  • Delivering samples to sample shipping.

  • Maintaining stock of Sample bottles.

  • Keeping work area clean, maintain safety, and adhere to GMP’s.

  • Must participate cross training programs (Sample shipping, compounding, sampling and packing) .

  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a team to solve problems, develop procedures, recommend improvements and help other departments as and when required.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

  • Strong communication skills

  • Basic math, reading, computer skills, and able to read, speak, and write English.

  • Must be safety and quality focused.

  • Must be able to use a scale having accuracy of 0.001 grams and weigh small amounts of material accurately.

  • Able to understand and use the metric system, including conversion of weights.

  • Must be able to follow directions and understand Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Ability to safely handle 25 kg, 50kg, 100kg and 180kg containers.

Preferred Experience:

  • Chemical process manufacturing experience

  • Previous lab experience.

  • SAP knowledge a plus!

Compensation ($50,000 - $60,000) is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
