WESTFIELD BEER GARDEN

Located at The World Trade Center the successful individual will be responsible for running and managing a Beer Garden pop-up concept for Westfield. The pop-up will be located on T2 Plaza which is the external site bounded by Church St, Fulton St and Vesey St. The Beer Garden offers breathtaking city views while relaxing and unwinding in a unique, outdoor setting. The Beer Garden was established in partnership with Westfield and Legends where guests can enjoy premium beverages, light bites and live entertainment.

THE ROLE

Beer Garden Hosts are responsible for warmly welcoming guests while efficiently maintaining a neat and orderly seating area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Warmly and graciously greet guests upon arrival

• Possess extensive knowledge of the floor plan, menus, and other general operational information

• Provide guests with estimated waiting time always maintaining a professional, courteous attitude when confronted with hostile or impatient guests

• Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible

• Monitor guests entering and exiting to inform them of our alcohol policy

• Inspect tables and bathrooms for proper presentation and clean if necessary

• Relay messages to bartenders and porters as needed

• Maintain supplies at the host stand

• Clean tables and other necessary areas

• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return

• Relay guest comments or suggestions to the supervisor on duty

• Explain Beer Garden concepts to guests

• Assist Porters, Bartenders, and Supervisors as necessary

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

• Keep work area clean and organized

• Organize Storage Areas

• Attend mandatory meetings

• Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards

• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must possess at least one year experience as a host in the Food and Beverage industry

• Impeccable communication and customer service skills

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting

• Ability to work in an open aired environment during all climate conditions

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds up and down stairs/ramps

• Ability to work all venue events, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays

• Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time

• Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and additional job specific safety training
