POSITION SUMMARY
Estée Lauder is seeking an exceptional Executive Director to drive the creative vision, strategy, and execution for global advertising initiatives within our Skincare group. As a key creative leader, this role will be responsible for elevating the Estée Lauder brand through iconic, engaging, and results-driven campaigns across all platforms—print, digital, social, video, and experiential.
The Executive Design Director will bring innovative, insight-led solutions to business challenges while fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence. The ideal candidate is a visionary storyteller, strategic thinker, and proven leader with experience shaping award-winning advertising for skincare brands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and drive the overarching creative design strategy for Estée Lauder’s global advertising campaigns.
Champion bold, insight-driven ideas that resonate with target audiences, strengthen brand equity, and set new standards for creative excellence.
Oversee concept development, visual storytelling, and design execution across all consumer touchpoints, ensuring work is elevated, on-brand, and aligned with business objectives.
Serve as the design authority for Estée Lauder skincare, ensuring a consistent, aspirational visual identity across all channels.
Partner with senior leadership, marketing, and product teams to align creative solutions with business goals and brand strategy.
Lead presentations to executive stakeholders, articulating the creative vision and demonstrating how it solves strategic challenges.
Collaborate with external agencies, production partners, photographers, and directors to bring groundbreaking campaigns to life.
Drive the use of emerging trends, design technology, and cultural insights to keep Estée Lauder at the forefront of luxury advertising.
Build, mentor, and inspire a world-class creative team, including design directors, art directors, and designers.
Foster a culture of collaboration, growth, and innovation, empowering the team to deliver exceptional work.
Set and maintain high standards of design execution, creative output, and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
12+ years of experience in luxury skincare advertising with further background in design, art direction, or creative leadership roles.
Ability to understand and distill scientific skincare components into consumer-facing communications.
Proven experience leading creative campaigns across global markets and multiple channels (print, digital, social, experiential, and film).
A strong, strategic thinker who can translate business objectives into compelling creative solutions.
Exceptional storytelling ability with a strong eye for design, typography, photography, and composition.
Mastery of design tools (Adobe Creative Suite including Firefly, Figma) and familiarity with production processes.
Experience managing agency partnerships and large-scale production workflows.
Visionary leader who inspires teams to achieve creative excellence and deliver on brand and business goals.
Highly collaborative with exceptional communication and presentation skills—able to influence at all levels of the organization.
A strategic, results-driven mindset combined with a passion for creative innovation and luxury branding.
Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $149,500.00 to $257,000.00 . Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
