Director of Digital Operations

The Director of Digital Operations is a subject matter expert in digital execution and delivery. They will report to the SVP, Director of Creative Operations. This role manages social media & animation workflow, establishing and maintaining guidelines to ensure high quality delivery. Additionally, the Director of Digital Operations will steward digital training and process development for the Creative Department, fostering enhanced cross functional collaboration between Creatives and the Tech/UX teams, ensuring a digital first approach.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Attend brief working sessions and review/approve project briefs for all social media & animation

  • Oversee workflow in and out of the Digital Operations department to meet deadlines and steward digital excellence

  • Attend status meetings, monitor dailies, and partner with Project Management to ensure accurate resourcing for current and upcoming digital projects

  • Ensure all digital initiatives comply with industry standards and company/client policies

  • Establish on-going dialog with all senior levels of the Technology and User Experience teams, to resolve issues and adjust procedures to assure quality input and output

  • Serve as a liaison between the creative, creative operations, and technology teams, ensuring seamless and efficient collaboration

  • Partner with Tech/UX teams to create and maintain onboarding/training guide for Digital processes for tactics, including specs. i.e.: Digital execution 101, Emails 101, Banners 101, IVAs 101

  • Create digital tactic build kits for creative teams to accelerate development productivity

  • Lead font management, purchase, and installation, including keeping an active list of fonts along with auditing existing list for any conflicts. Ensure any changes are properly communicated internally and with OHG

  • Support the SVP, Director of Creative Operations in pulling through any OHG or OMC digital initiatives in relation to software, platforms, and AI

Management Responsibilities -

  • Recruit and staff Digital Operations team with talent that have extensive technical skills in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, Figma, After Effects, Acrobat and other up-to-date programs

  • Overall training and supervision of Digital Operations staff members

  • Ensure seamless project intake and execution, meeting project deadlines

  • Enforce standards for individual accuracy of work and maintain continual monitoring of work, providing direct on-going feedback, both verbally and written to staff

  • Monitor department workload for efficiency and ensure downtime is minimized

  • Conduct the performance reviews of the Digital Operations staff members

Qualifications -

  • 8-10 years of prior experience as a desktop artist or desktop publishing artist that includes exposure to digital release workflow

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience'

  • Technically proficient with the ability to teach and troubleshoot in all pertinent programs; e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, Figma, After Effects, Microsoft Word, Acrobat and have the ability to adapt to new and changing programs

  • Must demonstrate the ability to foster teamwork and organize, prioritize, and manage workload while assuring complete accuracy of the final project'

  • Must be a clear and calm communicator who can handle emergencies, facilitate meetings, and establish rapport with peers and leadership in all departments and remain flexible to meet the needs of the agency

  • Positive, helpful attitude

  • Prior experience in advertising and healthcare is preferred.

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
