Job Title: Commercial Interior Architects & Interior Designers
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Architect to join our team as a Project Professional or Project Designer. The successful candidate will lead projects in Corporate, Commercial, Workplace, Retail, and Branch Banking practices. Project Professionals are primarily responsible for the technical development of projects, while Project Designers focus on creative development. Both roles involve collaboration with project managers, senior designers, peers, and juniors.
Responsibilities
Lead projects for Corporate, Commercial, Workplace, Retail, and Branch Banking practices.
For Project Professionals: Oversee the technical development of projects from Design Development (DD) to Construction Administration (CA).
For Project Designers: Lead the creative development of projects, including concept development, Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), and Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) packages.
Collaborate with project managers, senior designers, peers, and juniors.
Create and assemble full construction documents in a team setting.
Conduct construction administration and coordination tasks.
Develop concepts, presentations, and design development sets.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience (candidates with 3+ years may be considered if they have strong portfolios with Commercial Interiors experience).
Demonstrated proficiency in Revit with professional project experience.
Experience in commercial interiors projects, including office spaces, building lobbies, and amenity spaces such as conference rooms, meeting rooms, auditoriums, dining areas, and cafes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Licensed Architect or Interior Designer preferred.
Strong communication skills with internal and external parties.
Understanding of NYC and/or National Building Code.
Work Environment
The position offers a hybrid work model with 4 days in the office and 1 remote day (Fridays). The work week is 37.5 hours, from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break. The firm has 210+ staff across three locations: NYC/Long Island, Boston, and Orlando. Employees work in multiple studios, including Commercial, Workplace, Retail, Banking, and Healthcare. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
