TITLE: Manager, GBM-DGO Data Lineage

DUTIES:The Bank of Nova Scotia seeks Manager, GBM-DGO Data Lineage in New York, NYto design, implement and maintain data lineage for GBM applications. Understand current-state architecture of GBM applications and identify suitable metadata solutions to meet bank’s Regulatory & business needs. Manage the processes around metadata repositories (data dictionary, business glossary) and data classification process (identification of sensitive data). Implement Data Lineage for application implemented Streaming Architecture, Batch platforms implemented complex technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Nifi and Elastic Search. Implement Automated Data Lineage for Enterprise Applications in IGC (Information Governance Catalog) or in Collibra. Migrate the existing data lineage from IGC (IBM’s Information Governance Catalog) into Collibra. Contribute to adherence and enforcement of the Data Policy and the Data Governance Playbook. Contribute to identify and utilize data management capabilities including Metadata Management, Implementing Data Lineage with existing toolset. Assist with building business centric data lineage processes to address impact analysis, root-cause analysis. Assist with making lineage platforms more business friendly to assist application users, application development team, and application support teams. Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and support of data lineage for US Finance, Trade Surveillance, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, GBM Trade Central, GBM Client Central domains.

REQUIREMENTS:Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: designing application architecture and documenting it to meet regulatory needs; defining business metadata with use-cases and business samples; building lineage in Metadata tools including IGC, Collibra and Axiom Navigator; building Automated Data Lineage for application development tools including Kafka, Spark and Elastic Search; utilizing experience with regulatory requirements from data governance and data lineage prospective. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. Offered salary is between $163,238 and $163,238 per year. 40 hours per week.
