Job Description
The Roof Observer is responsible for maintaining a presence at the construction site to ensure and confirm that the roofing contractor is compliant with the contract documents, approved submittals, schedule, and safety procedures. The Roof Observer will complete daily quality and safety reports among other submittals throughout the week.
Responsibilities
Maintain a presence at the construction site and interact daily with the roofing contractors and the client's representatives, along with the Interstate Project Manager, to coordinate site requirements per job specifications.
Take photographs of job-site progress and complete daily documentation and reporting.
Ensure the roofing contractor is compliant with the Contract Documents.
Complete and submit daily quality and safety reports.
Inform the Interstate Project Manager of quality issues and safety violations by the contractor.
Ensure incomplete work is finished prior to the final inspection.
Essential Skills
Experience with Excel and Microsoft applications.
Experience as a Coordinator, Roofing Inspector, or in Quality Control.
2 years of experience with roofing, either residential or commercial (including demo, inspection, or shingling).
1 year of experience using an iPad (either from previous experience or personal use).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
