Surgical Expertise and Facilities: Joining our team means stepping into a world of advanced surgical equipment and facilities. Our surgical caseload encompasses all facets of equine surgery, from advanced orthopedic procedures such as cervical vertebral fusion and long bone fracture repair/arthrodesis, to all soft tissue and laparoscopic procedures. We offer 24 hour emergency surgical services as well. Our hospital is equipped to handle any surgical procedure, having a fully staffed and stocked operating theatre with 2 induction/recovery stalls equipped for sling or head and tail rope assisted recovery, if needed, to provide top tier patient care, customized to every case. Our surgical equipment arsenal includes a fully equipped arthroscopic/laparoscopic tower, orthopedic instrumentation for the locking compression system, monopolar/bipolar electrocautery as well as CO2 and diode surgical lasers, the Ligasure vessel sealing device, electrochemotherapy unit, as well as microsurgical equipment (phacoemulsification system and operating microscope) for corneal and cataract surgery. Our imaging systems include digital radiography units, 1m and 3m videoendoscopy, dynamic endoscopy, as well as a BodyTom 32-slice CT scanner which allows for the unique capability of intraoperative CT imaging. Moreover, we're in the planning stages for expanding our operating rooms and induction stalls to accommodate our growing caseload.
