GE Appliances is seeking a Senior Area Sales Manager (ASM) to lead all outside sales activities for Retail Independent Dealers and National Accounts within western Tennessee and Kentucky, covering Memphis, Nashville, and western Kentucky. The ideal candidate will reside in the Nashville area and be responsible for managing the entire sales experience, from floor merchandising and sales training to pricing strategies, distribution, fulfillment, and customer service. This role requires a strategic sales professional who can foster strong relationships, drive growth, and ensure a seamless customer experience.

How You'll Create Possibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive sales and market share growth within assigned accounts, including independent dealers and national accounts.

  • Identify new business opportunities, develop targeted marketing strategies, and expand the customer base.

  • Deliver and execute sales and margin operating plans to meet or exceed revenue goals.

  • Utilize quantitative sales expertise, including ROI analysis, margin calculations, and financial reporting.

Account Management & Customer Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, key decision-makers, and sales associates within the territory.

  • Develop and implement merchandising and promotional strategies to drive sell-through and profitability.

  • Lead product sales training for customers, ensuring a deep understanding of GE Appliances' product offerings.

  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers, providing timely follow-ups, status reports, and updates on promotions or changes.

Operations & Logistics

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient distribution and fulfillment of products.

  • Address and resolve customer service issues in a timely and effective manner.

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and operations teams to optimize the end-to-end sales experience.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in appliance, retail, or consumer goods industries.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently from a home office.

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Preferred:

  • Experience in developing, organizing, and executing sales plans.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, organizational, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Previous GE Appliances sales experience or retail appliance sales background.

  • Knowledge of advertising, sales promotion techniques, and merchandising best practices.
